Lunch Programs

Roch Carrier School Council offers the following lunch programs as our main fundraiser. Over the past 5 years, these programs have raised well over $95,000. This money has been used to purchase materials for the classrooms, over 3000 library books, helped "green" our playground, provided an excellent sound system for school plays and performances, and many other things.

Order forms for milk, pizza and subs will come home twice per year in September and January.

One cheque (or two 50% cheques) may be written per family but a separate order form needs to be returned for each child. Please attach all order forms to the cheque(s). Please ensure that the name of each child is on your cheque. Please make cheques payable to R.C.S.C.

No refunds will be given for absent students or for field trips.

Order forms for L'Entreprise Mazzola and "The Lunch Lady" are separate and payment is made directly to them. Please make sure that you keep their order forms and payments separate.

Milk Program

Our milk program runs Monday to Friday during the afternoon nutrition break offering 1% white (70¢/carton) or chocolate (75¢
/carton) milk.

Quiznos Sub Tuesdays

This program offers six choices for $3.35/sub, served on a 6-inch whole-wheat bun. The options are:

Ham (includes cheese and lettuce)
Turkey (includes cheese and lettuce)
Roast Beef (includes cheese and lettuce)
Pizza (pepperoni and marinara sauce)
Tuna (includes lettuce)
Cheese (two different types of cheese and includes lettuce)

Mustard is available in packages. Mayo is no longer an option.

Students may choose to have the same sub for all Tuesdays or select different dates and/or subs.

Pizza Wednesdays

Students may order cheese or pepperoni pizza at $2.00 per slice from Gabriel's Pizza.

Mazzola Thursday

L'Entreprise Mazzola offers healthy, fresh, balanced meals with no preservatives added. Pasta sauces come in a separate container and all meals are served in recyclable or biodegradable containers. No nuts or peanuts are used in the menus. No products containing nuts are allowed in the facilities of L'Entreprise Mazzola.

Pay in advance by cash, credit card, or cheque to the order of "L'Entreprise Mazzola." Postdated cheques are not accepted. Faxed orders must be paid by credit card. Fifty cents from every meal goes towards School Council fundraising.

If your child will be absent from school, you can cancel your order by phoning Mazzola before 9:00am. If they cannot answer your call, leave a message stating the name of the child, the school, and the day for which you are cancelling the meal. This will give you a credit for a meal the following session. If you do not phone and your child is absent, no credit will be possible.

Lunch Lady Fridays

The Lunch Lady hot lunch program will return to the school again this fall. All food is nut-free and meets the recently introduced provincial regulations on nutritional food at schools.

Orders are placed through the school or online. Order forms are sent home every few months or can be obtained from the school office. Participants are able to place, change or cancel orders with only three days notice. The Lunch Lady will even allow participants to cancel orders by phone up to 8:00am the morning of the order day. Payment options include cheque or major credit card (no cheques for online ordering).

Online orders are placed at www.thelunchlady.ca. Click "Order The Lunch Lady Online" in the upper right hand corner. The first time you visit the site, you will need to fill out an online account request. You will then receive the information you need to log in and order. Once you have an account, use the website to set up your regular orders and pay online.

Some families may notice a price discrepancy between Roch Carrier and other schools - this is due to the 50 cents per meal that we receive for fundraising.
